SUMMARY:Wee Wednesday: Baby Talk
DESCRIPTION:Join us at this special Wee Wednesday at the Niles-Maine Public Library! Babies and Caregivers are invited the second Wednesday of the month to this gentle story time with songs\, rhymes\, and play. This month\, in honor of National Speech-Language-Hearing Month (formerly Better Hearing and Speech Month)\, Assential Therapies Inc. will spend time at the beginning of the story time discussing speech development in babies. \nCome join us to learn about speech milestones and what to expect at specific ages. We want to spread the word (get it?) and raise awareness about communication in childhood development. \nREGISTER on the library website to reserve a spot!

SUMMARY:First Things First: Feeding 101
DESCRIPTION:Professional Training Virtual Workshop \nThe need for feeding therapy in the pediatric population is rising and so are the number of therapists who are interested in treating pediatric feeding disorders (PFDs). Most therapists want to treat children with feeding needs\, but don’t know where to begin. Not every therapist gets the opportunity to complete an internship with exposure to PFDs or even a course in graduate school that focuses on PFDs. Let’s face it\, pediatric feeding therapy requires additional learning on our part as a therapist beyond what we learned in our graduate studies. This is a workshop designed for those to get started in becoming a successful hands-on feeding therapist. \nThis 2-hour course will introduce what you need to know before treating a child with feeding issues. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced therapist who wants to get into pediatric feeding\, this course will guide you to successfully expanding your pediatric feeding therapy career.\nPresented by: Smita Joshi\, MS\, CCC-SLP\, Feeding Specialist\, Assential Therapies Inc. \nWho: speech-language pathologists\, occupational therapists\, physical therapists\, developmental therapists\, dietitians\, and other related professionals \nWhere: Virtual (link sent after registration) \nTime to be Determined \nWorkshop includes: \n\nUnderstanding pediatric feeding disorders\nReviewing real patient videos and analyze child’s feeding skills as a group\nSetting up treatment goals and therapy activities\n\nRegister Below: \n\n \n \n Professional Training Registration Form\n \n \n Name of the workshop* Name* (first name\, last name)Email*\n \n Phone*Subscribe to our newsletter?\n \n Yes\n Profession/Therapy Discipline: Name of organization Address \n \n \n \n Street Address\n \n \n Address Line 2\n \n \n City\n \n \n State / Province / Region\n \n \n ZIP / Postal Code\n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCabo VerdeCambodiaCameroonCanadaCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How did you hear about our workshops?*\n \n Email\n \n \n Facebook\n \n \n Instagram\n \n \n Assential Staff Member\n \n \n Other\n Other
